Perhaps the only silver lining in the Laker’s Game 5 loss to the Nuggets is the fact that if the Lakers do win Game 6 Metta will be available for the entire OKC series.

Ron Suspended 7 Games: The Lakers’ Metta World Peace has been suspended for seven games without pay for striking the Thunder’s James Harden in the head with his elbow, the NBA announced today.
“The concussion suffered by James Harden demonstrates the danger posed by violent acts of this kind, particularly when they are directed at the head area,” NBA Commissioner David Stern said. “We remain committed to taking necessary measures to protect the safety of NBA players, including the imposition of appropriate penalties for players with a history of on-court altercations.”Posted on April 24, 2012 via All Things Lakers with 140 notes

Metta World Peace’s flagrant foul on James Harden.
Regardless of whether the elbow was intentional or not, that play isn’t okay (not to mention so so dangerous). It will most likely result in a multiple game suspension meaning we won’t see Metta for some of the playoffs. Not a smart play at all, especially with Barnes’ injured ankle. Let’s just hope Harden is okay.Damn, man…gotta be smarter with the playoffs coming up.

26 points for Metta in tonight’s win against the Spurs. He was hitting fadeaways, driving inside, and was an alright 5-8 from three-point range.
